Whilst very frustrating it made sense to return to the UK for a while & I've now joined Tom freezing our bits off after acclimatizing in the Canaries. Ah well it at least has given me the opportunity to upload some of our photos to the web site - see La Gomera 09 in the Photo Gallery.

Better still it means that time can be spent back in the gym having somewhat lost the fitness edge a little whilst waiting around in La Gomera.

So when will we get to start? That is the big question, which can't be answered at present but it definitely won't be before next weekend & here's the reason why:

The Wave predictions show that even by next weekend they're not in the normal direction & would be taking us towards Africa instead of the Caribbean. If you go to the web site itself you can see this in animation form as it builds up from the East & traverses the Atlantic.

Surface winds are not helping either looking very confused & against us at the start. So this will be closely watched over the next few days to see if the system dissipates, or tracks further North. Hopefully no further systems develop behind the two currently causing the delay but who knows, this is one thing that no one can influence, so the waiting continues. Anyone for a game of patience?
